So years ago, right when first getting into 'house music' we can call it electronic music. Record stores were still a thing, the intranet sucked, and the folks who were in the know all worked at either the stores or labels but offered little insight beyond, oh Sasha, he is amazing, check him out. On the hunt I went, searching for his music, singles, mixes, DJ sets on forums etc. Fast forward to a few years later, I was handed his promo mix cd, Involver. This was a sort of mix, remix, original production project. You could tell this was beyond just song sequencing, this was special. From there, I was hooked and have listed to his mixes, original production, and his radio show Last Night on Earth.
Fast forward to 2021, artists have all been on lockdown and have been either chilling, making music, or learning new skills. Based on the layout of Sasha set with 3-CDJ-3000 + the new Pioneer DJM-V10+ 3-RMX-1000, it appears that he has a new setup and is road ready. What is interesting to highlight, Sasha was one of the first to use Ableton back in Version-04 and got me to use it and I never looked back. He even had his own midi-controller made which I sort of remember reading it cost something silly like $30K to build and now is likely the same thing as some plastic controller that you can get used at Guitar Center for $200. But back then, it was very progressive.
