It was probably two or three years ago that I came across a Boiler Room Mix featuring Solomon, I must have watched it ten times, have ripped the audio and listened to over a hundred times. If you haven’t heard it/seen it, head over to youtube here. Thanks to Youtube’s recommendations, I happen to notice the backdrop of the Solumon mix on two other videos, one featuring two guys whose names I can’t recall. The second was of this girl Magdalena; I checked in. To my delight, her style was exactly what I was looking for that day, and I have come to find all of her mixes to be solid. When I saw MixMag had her on the schedule for the MixMag Lab Los Angeles, I made sure I booked marked the date and sure enough, she did not disappoint.
To Give credit, where credit is due, Thanks MIXMAG!
The Lab LA is Mixmag and WAV’s weekly live stream and post-work unwind, powered by Void Acoustics, where we showcase the finest DJs direct from our downtown Los Angeles office.
Magdalena first found her 360 understanding of the music industry behind the scenes as part of the Diynamic family, where she formerly ran the label’s EGO club in Hamburg. It wasn’t long until she found her own footing as a DJ after starting her own night there and was snapped up by bookers in London, Ibiza and Berlin. Now, she’s a regular on the White Isle and sees her own regular radio show Magdalena’s Pony Farm on Ibiza Sonica Radio. She makes her Lab debut this Friday in The Lab LA.
