Similar to what was going on in the states with labels like Fool’s Gold and Mad Decent, French label Ed Banger has a song out by an up and coming artist Uffie and the remix of her song with Pharrell entitled ‘SUV’ the Arman Van Helden remix was one of my favorite remixes of all time, and to this day really felt like one of those records which defined that post Music Monday:: Uffie era. Fast forward a few years and sounds change, music evolves, but if you have talent as a songwriter, there is always a place for you. This holds true with the new EP Tokyo Love Hotel, which is her first project 2010’s Ed Banger studio album Sex Dreams and Denim Jeans. And we can only hope she’s here to stay.
