Let’s start the show /post off by calling it out, we are at the start of Winter, the holidays are over, it is a new year, a new beginning, but it is cold as heck, we are all feeling fat from food, booze, and being off our schedule. So like many of you, I am trying to tweak things in my routine, adjust life habits, work hard, and find different ways to relax.
Story-1:: Stuff to Eat
Overview: Alton Brown Makes Mini Man Burgers with Grilled Onions is the title of this video. What it really should be called, Alton Brown tells you how to make Krystal (WhiteCastle) hamburgers at home. The playbook for making these is super easy, key highlights, pull all your ingredients out at once, make sure you keep your meat seriously cold and get good Hawaiian buns, nothing else will do.

Story-2:: Stuff to Watch
Overview: A hapless UN employee discovers that the agency he works for is hiding a gateway to a parallel dimension that's in a cold war with our own, and where his other self is a top spy. The war slowly heats up thanks to spies from both sides. All right, that is the overview provided by Stars/Amazon but it doesn’t do the show justice. So essentially the world cloned itself and the only way to get from one side to another is through a building in Germany. While that part of the storyline is dumb, everything else is super cool and interesting. You essentially have a double on the other side and there is a ton of thinking around Nature Vs. Nurture and how singular events can dramatically shape one’s life. There is a lot of political posturing, so if you are into global politics, you will find that of interest too. I read that the show was canceled after two seasons because it failed to find a female audience. While I can’t confirm or deny, I can say, I have watched the show all the way through once, and am circling back a second time because it was that interesting to me.

Story-3:: Stuff to Drink
Overview: Yeah, you read that right, Non Alcoholic Drinks - 4 mocktails to try at home. Looking for some non alcoholic drinks? You’re in luck! Today I’m mixing up four fun and delicious mocktails! These drinks are for everyone. Mixing up drinks should always be fun, especially with non-alcoholic drinks! Go crazy, experiment with flavors, adjust the ratios to your taste - no rules here. Just because the booze is gone doesn’t mean we can’t have a little fun. So whatever reason you choose not to drink the hard stuff, may you find some joy in these recipes! Cheers! Other cocktails I have tried from Anders are his Old Fashioned and one I am trying in February will be the Wisconsin Old Fashioned

Ok, so let’s jump into this one. For years I was the intern at another DJ magazine that will not remain nameless; feel free to google me, no seriously, do it! Many of the team have left that shop and started up DJ Life Mag and I can’t be more excited for them.
