A revolutionary new app DJ.studio which is redefining the way DJs create studio mixes. Undoubtedly one of the most innovative platforms on the market, the digital audio workstation specifically designed for DJs, uses advanced AI based harmonic intelligence to create flawless mixes at the touch of a button. With a number of powerful integrations built in, from Mixed In Key to Ableton and YouTube, and compatibility with all leading music providers including rekordbox, Serato, Virtual DJ, Traktor Pro, Engine DJ and iTunes all supported, the cutting-edge tool has transformed the future of mixing. Aimed at everyone from bedroom DJs looking to start creating mixes, superstar DJs trialling new ideas whilst on the go, or radio hosts looking to record their shows, DJ.Studio gives anyone the chance to create seamless mixes in a matter of minutes.

I'm a big fan of anything that allows me to be more efficient with technology. If I go back to 20 years ago when I was on Ableton version three, and when I saw this, I was like, OK, I can mix faster and get mixes out more quickly. Have them sound sonically and do a better job of mixing tempo, essential beads, etc. And mainly for the last, you know, 20 years, I've been making mixes in a very similar fashion through my workflow is either, you know, enable Tim for the podcast or on Sunday sessions, I typically do those where I throw Music either on the thumb drive and play through rekordbox or Music into a playlist and go into other Traktor, Serato, Rekordbox, etc.,

So when I saw Laidback Luke's Keynote presentation (Embedded Below) with the DJ studio team, I tuned into what these guys have been doing. I've been a big fan of Luke's for a long time. I know Luke always runs towards technology, innovation, and how it can improve his workflow. If you watch his YouTube videos, you can tell this guy is always on the road, always on the go, looking for ways to operate and execute more effectively and efficiently, so when I saw this video, I was like, OK, if he's into it, I got to go check it out so I watched couple YouTube videos on DJ. Studio and then went over to the website to look at the software. Thankfully, like many other SaaS (Software as a Service) software, there was a free download with a trial; from there, it was all about experimentation.

Once I downloaded the software, I immediately jumped into it, uploaded sort tracks from a recent Sunday Session through past Dailey Blend Podcast episodes, and was blown away by some of the features you know. I assumed that I would be sort of like he would arrange them. They will work, and it will sound pretty good. Still, you can adjust you know how it mixes in, so if you want to go to bars, four bars, six bars, or 16 bars, or you can tell it sort of sonically how you want to mix it, you can add different sweeping effects you can import Music from Apple Music now be port, YouTube and Music from your drive.

From an editing standpoint, you can make core and custom edits within the software. But if you want to dive deep, you can export the project to Ableton and start to make some series tweaks. For the most part, I have found that I stick to the software, and it does the trick for what I need.

Be on the lookout for further deep dives into this technology as I walk through the features I like about DJ Studio and my associated workflow, and, of course, go check out the latest Sunday Session, created via DJ Studio.
