Story-1:: Lebron - From Pickle-2-SNKRS

Overview: LeBron James is committing to his love for pickleball with the acquisition of an official Major League Pickleball (MLP) team. Signing on with his business partner Maverick Carter and their company LRMR Ventures, the two look to capitalize on America’s fastest-growing sport which currently has 4.8 million enthusiasts nationwide.

LeBron 20 Throughout the summer, we saw Bronny, Bryce, and even King James himself hit the hardwood in the Nike LeBron 20. As the season is on the horizon, we officially get a look at the Nike LeBron 20 launch colorway, in addition, to a sneak peek at certain pairs, including the “Miami Heat” colorway. These shoes are getting some serious love from the sneaker community, saying they are one of the best Lebrons to date and have a similar feel and performance to the Kobes.

Already dropping in a ton of colors go cop, yours, or do what I am doing and wait till the 19’s go on sub $100 sale and pick up a pair of those bad boys. Nike, let me know when you plan to throw the extra 20% discount on these school bus edition shoes.

Story-2:: Tour Junkies

Overview: PGA Tour golf addicts provide a weekly Podcast & Blog specializing in making you money in DFS & traditional golf betting while giving you eargasmic PGA Tour player & caddie interviews. If you really want to connect, for $10 a month or $90 a year, you can be included in their exclusive chat. My assumption is it is some sort of text/slack channel, haven’t checked it out, but sounds like a whole lot of fun.

Story-3:: Kaytranada on Broken Record (Hosted by Rick Rubin)

Overview: Kaytranada’s futuristic, soulful disco sound is suddenly everywhere—including on his new hit song “Twin Flame” with Anderson .Paak. The Haitian-Canadian DJ/producer got his start as a teenager by uploading J. Dilla and Flying Lotus-inspired beats to SoundCloud. In 2012 his edit of Janet Jackson’s “If” exploded and became a massive viral hit. In the 10 years since, Kaytranada has remixed dozens of records and released two studio albums, including the Grammy award-winning Bubba.

On today’s episode Rick Rubin and Kaytranada sit down to talk about how using technology unconventionally can lead to creating an entirely new sound. Kaytra also explains the anxiety he felt as an up-and-coming hip-hop producer who could never quite connect with an MPC drum machine. And he talks about what it’s like rocking stadiums as the opening DJ on the Weeknd’s worldwide tour.

ABOUT BROKEN RECORD

For generations of music lovers, the liner notes on albums were a central part of the way music was heard. You bought an album and it came with an accompanying narrative: a digression, an aside, a backstory—maybe even an invented history. We intuitively understood that great music required not just listening but the conversation between the artist and the audience and the audience and the rest of the world. Broken Record is a podcast that restarts those conversations—in a world without liner notes—for a new audience of music lovers. Broken Record is hosted by Justin Richmond with interviews by producer Rick Rubin, writer Malcolm Gladwell, and former New York Times editor Bruce Headlam.

ABOUT RICK RUBIN

In addition to being a podcast host, Frederick Jay “Rick” Rubin is an American record producer and former co-president of Columbia Records. Along with Russell Simmons, he is the co-founder of Def Jam Recordings and also established American Recordings. With the Beastie Boys, LL Cool J, Public Enemy, Geto Boys, and Run-DMC, Rick helped popularize hip-hop music. In 2007, MTV called him “the most important producer of the last 20 years,” and the same year he was named one of Time’s 100 Most Influential People in the World.

Story-4:: Fast Fashion Rips Underground Collective

Overview: London-based DJ group and record label, SlothBoogie have called out high street clothing brand ZARA for using a “plagiarised” design on a kids' jumper. So that is how it started, now lets talk about the group and their music, creative digital and physical assets.

SlothBoogie is one of London’s most respected underground electronic music crews, encompassing a DJ collective, record label, radio show & regular party series. As an ensemble, the crew have been attentively selecting the finest underground electronic music on their acclaimed platform for well over a decade. As a result, they’ve become an influential driving force in the discovery of new talent, as well as continued supporters of the best artists in the underground scene.

Story-5:: Eat Like Tom Brady For A Day (ft. Tom Brady)

Overview: As a kid, Nick Digiovanni couldn’t focus in school. The only place I really felt inspired was in the kitchen, where my grandmother took me by the hand and shared all of her culinary wisdom. Flash forward and my love for food has only grown stronger. I’ve had the privilege of eating all over the world, working in Michelin-star kitchens and competing on MasterChef alongside other amazing cooks. Now, I want to share everything I’ve ever learned with all of you. But first, let me tell you a little bit more about how I got here.

  • Streamy Award

    • Still in disbelief that I won YouTube's Streamy award for top food creator in 2021

  • 5 Billion Views

    • You guys watched my videos over 5 billion (yes, with a b) times last year
