Transcription - Dailey Blend Show Updates Website, Launches Video

Hey everyone, welcome back to the Dailey Blend show with me, Reed Dailey. Today is October 31st, which means it is Halloween, and I am fired up because I don't do a little trick-or-treating. And have a fantastic beer or glass of wine with some friends at a party after trick or treating, but unfortunately, it's 39 degrees here. We'll see how much trick-or-treating is actually done. But before we talk about kind of the highlights from the last week, I want to
Remind you that this show and all other previous shows. It's available on Spotify and Apple podcasts. You can also find us on YouTube. And, of course, Dailey Blend Comm. All right, with all of that said, let's jump into the show. So, featuring more content across Dailey Blend first and mainly music so
This week. I featured Madres by Sophia Cortez, and it is one heck of an electronic and Soulful songwriter album. If there is such a thing, the gist of it is that Sophia is from South America and has relocated to Germany since her father passed away. Her mother had cancer and beat the cancer. I've got that story about right, and they're both living successfully in Germany. Of course, she's doing more German techno deep house tech house and the whole album from start to finish. I played it all day today. I played it on the weekends. I'm a massive fan of that. If you go to daileyblend.com, you can listen to her first album and DJ set. I shared both of those in the Music Monday section of
The Dailey Blend dot come website in terms of Throwback Thursdays. We kicked off the announcement that we're going to do a whole month-long of Gabriel Dresden mixes. If you're less familiar, she gave her own Dresden Rose to fame thanks to ‘As a Rush Comes’, as well as other remixes and original Productions. Josh Gabriel is a fantastic producer, not the Davis not, but Dave was also the guy helping curate Pete Tong with the essential mix in the early days. Both of them met, and my editor Jim Tremaine was one of the ones who helped with that introduction so I'm just a big fan. They did a fund me or kick me. I can't Kickstarter campaign on Kick me and I sponsored that and so I got some access to some original song remixes bootlegs. So, probably towards the end.
I'm going to do a whole Gabriel and Dresden DJ set based on kind of just like some quitting rounds over the last couple of weeks and months. I think I've got kind of a good direction for that mix in terms of stuff going on with my project with my good buddy, Greg. We've got drinks with Greg and Negronoi's with Greg. So we haven't released any new podcast with Negroni's with Greg, but with drinks with Greg we had.
Very spooky Halloween Margarita. I'm really fired up about it. It's got apple cider syrup, and it's got black salt. I didn't even know there was black salt when I was researching this drink. I was like, there's black salt if you head to drink with gregg.com; not only can you learn how to make it, but if for some reason you do not have Blanco or blocked out the tequila, you can go purchase that through the drink with Greg calm. I highly recommend you do it. It may be the greatest place ever to purchase Spirits. Trust me. I'm one of the owners, and don't forget to follow And subscribe to drink with Greg and grow. He's with Greg on X and Instagram and then goes overhead over to Once Again Drink with greg.com.

All right, continuing through the show. We want to talk about Friday Top Five. It is now a newsletter. If you want to get dialed into some great stuff. I give tips, trips tricks, things that I'm interested in, and things that you need to know about in a newsletter format on Fridays last week. We did how to get stuff done when you are just trying to get rid of indecisiveness. We talked about movies to watch how to play differently and play better. Thanks to Richie Hutton.
We talked about how to upgrade your football weekend by watching self with Herman at home and some really cool salmon bites. And, of course,, we closed it out with fantastic art by Jason Revoke at Revoke underscore. If you want to see past archives of Friday Top Five before we turn it into newsletter. I've got it linked you can go check out a ton of content on Dailey Blend. And to finish out the show, we have a first, which is a digital asset. And I'm starting to do more of these of just what are the tools and templates I use to produce the show to produce social media content to engage with people. And so what I've done is I've put together a core essential introduction, whatever term you want to use.
Calendar I'm going to be posting that and linking to that to be able to download it. I'm probably gonna do three essential versions of it. I will do kind of like the middle of the road that's a little more in-depth and intense and then I'm going to probably go all the way to CODA and leverage that platform to produce or create the templates and then share those out.
there have set up for this week's weekly rundown. I'll be in town in Chicago this week and next. So if you are in the Chicagoland area, hit me up. I was off, thanks to Halloween. I was off from paddle but expect a full recap from the paddle match next week. I'll actually be hopefully playing on Tuesday. So this show will come out either before or after that competition so Iowa, they're tell you kind of what the roster looks like or give you the results depending on how timing works out but don't forget to subscribe to this show of course, and download the show on Apple podcast Spotify and YouTube or where else you get your podcast.
All right, with all that said, thank you for tuning in and we'll catch you on the next episode.
